Our Christmas Tree
Just after Thanksgiving the whole family went to a local Christmas tree farm and tromped through the first snow of the year looking for the perfect tree.

Joshua wasn't sure about the snow at first. He would drag his heavy boots a few steps and then stop and try to brush off the snow with his mittens, take another few steps and try to brush more off . . . . son, I think you're missing the point here . . .

Johnathan loved the snow and was kindly trying to shake the snow off of the baby trees so they wouldn't get too cold. Love this picture because it looks like a large snowflake just dropped into his eye!

Johnathan helped Daddy cut it down this year.

Joshua thought we had lost our minds tying a tree to the top of the van. Oh little one, you have so much to learn!

Our "perfect" tree was a very full tree, just not near the top. Luckily we were able to fill in the bald places with lights, ribbon and garland!!

Here is the finished project. Of course no Christmas would be complete without realizing as you begin to decorate your tree that half of your light strands don't work!!! After a minor setback we got it all masterfully decorated. Silver balls that were used to decorate the Christmas trees from our wedding, along with so many other memories related to ornaments from our childhoods make our tree special every year!
