The Cabin - Twice this Summer!

This summer we enjoyed two separate week long trips to Grandpa & Grandma Dys' cabin in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Northern Georgia. It's been in the family since the early 90's and continues to be a wonderful place for us all to come, relax, get away from it all and build even greater family memories together. In mid July the boys and I went and met Grandpa and Grandma there for a week while Jeremy had business in Atlanta.

As we neared the end of the summer, we regretted that we hadn't put a week aside for a family vacation for just the four of us. For the boys and I it seemed like we had had two vacations this summer - Indianapolis in June and the cabin in July, but both of those trips were business related for Jeremy and he really needed a break! So where can we go at the last minute? The cabin! We are so blessed to have a place like this to call our home away from home.

So here are pictures from time at the cabin, both times. Enjoy :)

We like to go to this store called the "Bargain Barn" when we are at the cabin. It's basically a discount Cabela's. Here's our "deer" Johnathan.

And here's our "beast" Joshua. How appropriate :)

Our Cheeseball Joshie at the lake.

The picture of summer - smore's!

Roasting marshmallows.

Trying to get a nice posed shot here with an almost 4 year old and a 19 month old. Impossible. But I do like the kiss Johnathan seems to be giving me in this one . . .

. . . .and this goofy face and the drool in this one.

Joshua, 19 months.

Johnathan, 3 Years, 11 months.

Joshua on the dock. We were throwing bread to the fish one evening.

All snuggled up with Grandpa Dys. Precious photo.

Johnathan found the smallest toad we'd ever seen!

Feeding the fish off of the dock.

Josh on the porch swing.

Johnathan on Grandpa's back in the water.

Joshua, digging in the sand, throwing sand.

My happy darling boys at the cabin. What great memories!
