A Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Two weekends ago we had a "pumpkin day." We started the day out with pumpkin pancakes and then took a trip to a local farm to pick out our very own pumpkins to carve. We enjoyed a picnic at a park for lunch. After naptime we had pumpkin bread with plenty of apple cider. We carved our pumpkins that evening (pictures above). Oh, and I can't forget the roasted pumpkin seeds (I'm still working on those!) Did we go a little overboard? Nah. Did I mention plenty of library books about pumpkins too? We had a really fun themed day. Here are the pictures of the farm.

Johnathan "pulling" Joshua on a tractor. Notice his little buddy, the scarecrow on a stick that had to go with us everywhere we went that day.

Don't eat the hay!
