Johnathan wanted to help his baby brother down the slide. In the last few weeks, he's become much more aware of his brother's potential to truly be his best friend someday. He's realizing that Joshua is growing bigger each day and is genuinely joyful to see him be able to do new things, like grab a toy, and sit up in his high chair.

Daddy would grab Johnathan at the bottom of the slide and throw him up in the air like this. Isn't this an awesome picture?? Perfect timing.

Johnathan has enrolled in our local library's summer reading program. "Splish, Splash, Read!" is the theme and to kick off the summer they had an event that included many outdoor water games. The highlight by far was when the fire engine came and all the kids got to run through the water. I know this picture looks like rain, but it's really water coming from the fire truck. I love this picture 1. because of the sheer JOY this event brought my child and 2. because it gives me visions of him playing basketball someday - maybe even for WVU?? :)
