You play nobody, never to be ranked, teams. That's why your strength of schedule is ranked in the 60's to this day.
ND plays real, proven and established college football teams. Preseason ranks may not have panned out this year, but they still make sense in the whole sceme of things. That's why our strnegh of schedule was and is ranked 22 in the nation.
ND is a college football school. Say what you want - We invented college football and brought it to the greatness it's at today. Remember ND home games are televised NATION WIDE.
We get a ton of money to play the teams we play, and wether we win or loose, we deserve that cash. Why, because we're ND and people are salivating to establish themselves by playing us. We are the elite. Everybody wants to play us and everybody comes out to beat us, regardless where they are ranked, simply becasue we're ND. For example: The past 10 Mich State game turnouts. If you beat ND, you are the talk of the week. You're David defeating Goliath. Wanna be David? Call Kevin White, and bring your wallet.
My QB deserves every bit of the accolades or whatever hype that he gets thrown around him because of his output, the team that he has around him, the coach that mentors him and the people we play each and every week. It's the opposite for your guys. You play nobodys and you have several stars, at best, who beat up on the nobody teams.
ND has a projected 11 players expected to go in the first several rounds in this summer's draft.
In the end, my friend, schedules make a huge differnece. Miami, BC and whoever else realized this. That's why they are seperating themselves from you and the Big East. I think it's time for the WVU Hilljacks to start coming to grips with this fact. ESPN, all kinds of polls, and sain human beings all agree with me.
Love these arguments. Regardless if ND wins out, and plays in whatever bowl, against whatever team, for whatever prize - at the end of the day - We Are ND. And we deserve to be wherever the BCS places us because we're #5, with only one loss to #2.
I'm hoping for another shot at #2. Even if it's not for the Championship.
