Johnathan Peter Dedicated to God

We were privileged to witness the extension of God's covenant to yet another generation as we dedicated Johanthan Peter to the Lord this past Sunday. While it was a joyous celebration, it also comes with the sobering realization of what has been charged to us as his parents. Johnathan, as God draws you near to Him and as He enables us, we will raise you in the nurture and admonition of the Lord!

This is about the only action shot we managed. Aunt Amy worked really hard to get a good picture or two, but with lots of heads in the way and our cheap camera holding her back, this was about all she could manage. You get the gist of it. (Although, I realize as I look at this, both of us have our eyes peeking to see Johnathan wiggling as the Pastor prays. Those of you who have been through this will understand why that might be. Johnathan was a very, very good boy throughout the dedication, even if he did manage to slobber all over Pastor Hawkins!) I also hope to post the video of Johnathan's dedication on the blog before long.
