Trip to the Doctor
Well, we don't have much in the way of pictures today, but we wanted to update you on the progress of Johnathan.
Yesterday (Thursday, 9.8), Johnathan visited his Pediatrician for the first time. The doctor was very impressed with him and gave him a clean bill of health, which certainly allowed Mommy and Daddy to breath a sigh of relief (not that we considered him sickly, but if you've ever been a first-time parent, you know what I mean).
Johnathan weighed in at a hefty 8lbs, 8oz., which the doctor considered excellent, considering he usually likes to see babies gain back their birth weight in a week. Well, our little guy's an overachiever I guess!
He is 21 inches tall, grown by 1 inch since birth, but that may be due to the fact that he has finally started to realize that he can stretch out in this world!
And, apparently, Johnathan has grown smarter, since his head measured an extra 1/4 inch since his birth! (Or, perhaps he's just overly proud of his growing accomplishments!).
Well, that's the news. Aunt Amy comes tonight, so we'll likely have new pictures to add tomorrow! Until then, know that Johnathan is as special today as the day he was born (and perhaps even a bit cuter!)
